~~Central Texas CPCU chapter members, JoAnna Benko, Rich Berthelsen, Mark Hausmann, & Amy Weber attended a luncheon at State Auto Insurance for a very
special Asian Awareness Month event on May 19; a Lunch and Learn with Marina Bhargave, M.A., who is executive director of the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce. The presentation was a collaboration between State Auto, the Central Texas Chapter of Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), the Austin Association of Insurance Professionals (AAIP) and the Austin Claims Association (ACA).
The Central Texas Chapter of the CPCU Society is pleased to announce the availability of three scholarships in the amount of $2,000.00 each for local college and university students who are majoring or minoring, "a concentration", in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science.
One of our CPCU chapter members, Greg Rose, has volunteered to teach CPCU 540-Finance and Accounting for Insurance Professionals next year! The first testing window to qualify for the 2016 class in Hawaii is July 15th-September 15th 2015 and I know a lot of students want to lock in a spot in the 2016 class early.
