Scholarship Information
The Central Texas Chapter of the CPCU Society is pleased to announce the availability of multiple scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each for local students with interest in a career in the insurance industry.
Founded in 1944, The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society is a community of credentialed property and casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education.
The CPCU Society’s mission is to “meet the career development needs of a diverse membership of professionals who have earned the CPCU designation, so that they may serve others in a competent and ethical manner.”
Applicant Requirements
To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must meet the requirements below:
- Enrolled in greater Austin area university or college.
-OR-
Graduate of greater Austin area high school and will be enrolled in a university or college located in the state of Texas for the Fall semester.
- Coursework or interest in a career path related to insurance, including risk management, actuarial science, finance, social work, medical case management, programming, and data systems.
- Not receiving full reimbursement for expense of tuition, books, and testing fees from an employer or any other outside source.
By submitting the scholarship application, you are confirming you meet all listed requirements to qualify.
Submission Deadline
Submissions must be received no later than June 1.
Award recipients will be notified directly using the information provided on the application. Recipients will also be recognized at the Chapter’s September luncheon in Austin, Texas.
